Description
About this course
Application
- This unit applies to those working in site-based roles.
Jurisdiction: This is a nationally recognised qualification that qualifies you to safely operate a backhoe/loader. Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 You no longer need to hold an earthmoving or particular crane (EPC) certificate to operate a Front-end loader/backhoe.
Licence: You do not need a specific license to operate a backhoe under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. However, where a certificate is no longer required for earth-moving activities, the PCBU has a primary duty of care duty under the Act to ensure that workers are trained and competent to do this work safely; this unit can and may be used to satisfy some of the requirements.
