About this course

This nationally accredited short course covers the skills and knowledge required to conduct telescopic materials handler operations. This unit derives from the RII30920 – Certificate III in Civil Construction.

Application

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors, and must be sourced from the relevant jurisdiction.

Licence: The licensing requirements for a telehandler differ depending on the attachments and the capacity of the plant.
Where the plant is fitted with a personnel box attached directly to the main boom and the personnel box can be extended 11 metres or more the operator requires an elevated work platform (WP) certificate.

Jurisdiction: This is nationally recognised qualification and can be used when applying for jobs in the civil construction and resources sector across Australia. Sites may require further training according to their standards.

Where the plant is fitted with other attachments i.e. bucket or forks etc, no high risk work licence is required. Qld Reference
