RIIWHS202E - Enter and Work in Confined Spaces QLD
Course Overview
The accredited confined spaces course has unit that describes skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries.
The Confined Spaces Course is essential for those working in operational roles. Workers who enter and work in confined spaces typically operate under supervision, following prescribed routines and procedures while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Completing this course provides a Safety Certification for Confined Space, equipping individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to take responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.
Course cost:
Funding – $200
Full Fee – $500

Assessment Conditions
Mandatory conditions for assessment of this unit are stipulated below. The Work in Confined Spaces Course assessment must include access to:
- personal protective equipment
- equipment related to entering and working in confined spaces
- relevant documentation
- be conducted in a safe environment; and,
- be assessed in the context of this sector’s work environment; and,
- be assessed in compliance with relevant legislation/regulation and using policies, procedures and processes directly related to the industry sector for which it is being assessed; and,
- confirm consistent performance can be applied in a range of relevant workplace circumstances.
Where personal safety or environmental risks are a concern, assessments may take place in a realistic simulated work environment. The RIIWHS202E Certification equips individuals with essential skills in task management, contingency planning, and workplace safety. Through Confined Space Entry & Rescue Training, participants gain hands-on experience to effectively manage risks and respond to emergencies in confined spaces.
